Handmade Cricket Bats - Charlie French Cricket Bats

Welcome to Charlie French Cricket

Charlie French is the second of five cricketing brothers, the most famous being the former England wicket keeper and now England keeping coach Bruce. Charlie himself played at a high level representing the Notts second eleven in his youth before leading his club Welbeck Colliery to many honours .
He has been making hand crafted bats for 21 years and has built himself a reputation for quality, value and service. Charlie can make anything you want, provided it is legal! One of the main advantages of using a craftsman as opposed to a machine is having the ability to tweak and fine tune the balance of the bat. A little bit of wood removed from the right place can make a huge difference.
Charlie’s brother Neil who also played for Welbeck as well as Lincolnshire in the minor counties league, and the England amateur side, joined Charlie in the business six years ago and is now mainly responsible for their sister company Proskins.

Charlie's Bat Of The Week

Each week Charlie will be offering a special bat that he will personally introduce and describe to you. It is a unique bat and only one available, so when it's gone, it's gone!

Bat of the week 31st January 2014

For this week's BOTW I am offering our most popular bat of the 2014 range, the Broadside.

With 17/18 beautiful straight grains this bat weighs in at 2'9lbs including an ultra-light pick-up and responds suberbly well to the bounce of the ball.

This is available on a first come first served basis, and is an absolute steal at £175, so be quick as this is sure to go this payday!

To purchase this bat you can either click in the buy it in the bat of the week shop, call into our Mansfield showroom or call the office on 01623 654242 and speak to Charlie or Rob.
